Bogotá is the capital city of Colombia. Its strategic location (in the center of the Americas) and its economic development make it the ideal entrance for the Latin American market. This also positions the city as one of the largest recipients of FDI in the region, and as an attractive destination for business travelers and host of some of the largest international events in LAC.

Food

Bogotá offers a broad selection of local and international food. Don’t miss the opportunity of trying dishes such ajiaco (chicken and potatoes stew), tamales (vegetables and meats wrapped in corn dough and steamed), almojábanas (cheese breads), and sample Colombian fruit juices and desserts prepared with local ingredients.

Attractions

Its different activities make it an ideal tourist destination. Some of the most known attractions allow tourists to learn more about Colombia’s history and its importance. Downtown you will find the Plaza de Bolívar, the Primatial Cathedral, and the Casa de Nariño, which houses the Colombian government. Some important museums are the National Museum of Colombia, the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá (MAMBO), the Maloka Interactive Center, and the Gold Museum.
